Keynote Address: Why Community Matters
Community is where resilience begins—and where it is sustained. In times of uncertainty, whether shaped by climate change, economic shifts, or rapid technological transformation, it is people—not tools alone—who carry communities forward. Resilience grows when individuals are empowered with skills, shared purpose, and the ability to understand and shape the places they call home. Geographic Information Systems (GIS), remote sensing, and artificial intelligence (AI) offer powerful ways to see change, but their greatest impact is realized when communities invest in the workforce that brings data to life.
